I knew she was my spirit person

Dolly could not quit potatoes, and she never pretended otherwise.

The New York Times asked her for her favorite vegetable back in 1992, and she did not hesitate. Just give her a potato, any kind, and she was happy. Then she admitted every diet she ever fell off of came down to potatoes and gravy of some sort.

She kept saying it for the next thirty years. She told Wired she never met a spud she did not like. She told TODAY last year she still had one every day, baked, mashed, or fried.

Her line about dieting was the best of them. She tried every diet in the book, tried some that were not in the book, and then tried eating the book.

Just one of a million saying the same. Strive to be like Dolly and leave this world a better place, where everyone has nothing but great things to say about you

I got to meet Dolly Parton, and everything everyone is saying about her was true. Deep, serious, playful, loving, wise…. A woman of integrity. A North Star.
She knew how to make a positive impact and have a laugh while doing it. I left her presence lighter and charged to be better.
