There are gems up and down the ECHO Fly Rods & Reels lineup. We touched a bit on the B.A.G. glass rod, and it is an awesome stick, but the Prime 4 impresses me every time I pick it up. At $575 it's an absolute steal. I've done numerous comparisons with a wide host of rods 8wt-11wt and the Prime always manages to hit above it's price class. There are even more rods worth raving about from Echo, like the Boost Blue, so I better try to put something a little more long form together.

Loving the new Signal series from Sage Fly Fishing especially the 7wt and 8wt rods. Feel almost effortless in hand, a clear departure from the Maverick series, which I also loved but for different reasons. These aren't the same ultra-stiff rods as Sage's previous midrange USA made series. I can say that the Signals definitely punch well above their price points.
