Smokey Bear is turning another year older, and you're invited to the celebration! Stop by the Pisgah Visitor Center this Saturday, August 8, and celebrate Smokey Bear's Birthday with FIND Outdoors! Bring the whole family for a day of free, hands-on activities, including:
- Smokey Bear coloring sheets
- Button making
- A fun "fire extinguisher" activity
using chalk and water guns

Come wish Smokey a happy birthday, enjoy some creative activities, and learn how we can all help prevent wildfires. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

The Pisgah Visitor Center & Gift Shop will reopen on Friday, July 31, with regular operating hours following a remodel of the gift shop.

Stay Tuned! The Pisgah Visitor Center & Gift Shop will be temporarily closed Tuesday, July 28 through Thursday, July 30 for a refresh of our gift shop space.

While the building is closed, restrooms will remain open, and US Forest Service volunteers will be available outside to answer questions and provide trail information.

We’re excited to make a few updates and can’t wait to welcome you back soon! Thank you for your patience as we refresh the visitor experience.
