Some photographs simply can’t be replaced.

This was the only photograph our customer had of their parents’ wedding, and after all these years, time had definitely taken its toll.

The image had discoloration, age spots, fading, and even a tear running directly across the bride’s face. We worked through the restoration step by step-- correcting the discoloration, repairing the damage, cleaning up years of wear, and carefully sharpening the image to bring back details that had nearly disappeared.

And this time, we stopped there.

Not every old photograph has to be colorized. There was something beautiful about keeping this moment in its original black and white while simply allowing it to look like itself again.

We love knowing that this family now has a restored version of an irreplaceable moment in their family’s story- preserving their yesterday for tomorrow.

✨ Friday Favorite | Amy Edition ✨

Everyone here has a project (or two!) that really sticks with them, and this one is Amy's.

Amy graduated from Pitt State with a degree in mathematics, so it's probably no surprise that she loves the projects that feel like solving a giant puzzle.

This Hall of Fame shadowbox features 17 different items, including a round medallion. Before a single opening can be cut into the mat, every object has to be carefully measured, spaced, and balanced. Every fraction matters. Every angle matters. It's part math, part design, and part art.

After hours of planning, measuring, and arranging, all of those individual pieces came together to tell one incredible story.

It's one of those projects that reminds us custom framing isn't just about putting something in a frame. It's about designing a piece that honors a lifetime of memories.

We think Amy knocked this one out of the park.

Over the years, photographs naturally become brittle. Tiny cracks, tears, scratches, and creases can slowly hide the memories that matter most.

The good news? Those imperfections are often some of the easiest things for us to repair through digital restoration. We carefully rebuild damaged areas while preserving the character and history of the original photograph.

And here's something many people don't realize—we keep your completed restoration on file for at least two years. So when family members see the finished photo and say, "I'd love a copy of that," ordering additional prints is simple. No need to start the restoration process all over again.

Because preserving yesterday for tomorrow means making those memories easy to share for generations to come.

Time isn't always kind to our most treasured photographs and art pieces. Fading, tears, stains, and missing pieces can make it feel like those memories are gone forever—but that's where digital restoration comes in.

Every restoration we do is completed digitally, meaning your original piece is never physically altered. We carefully repair every crack, crease, and blemish on a digital copy, then professionally print a restored version that looks as if time never touched it.

That means your original stays safely preserved, while you receive a beautifully restored piece that's ready to be displayed and enjoyed for generations to come.

Because preserving yesterday for tomorrow doesn't mean changing history—it means protecting it.

We keep more than 150 moulding profiles on hand in our facility. Each one arrives in 10-foot lengths, and when you place your order, we custom cut, join, and finish it into a frame made just for your artwork.

One of our favorite parts of what we do is getting to work on projects that are completely unique—and this one definitely fits that category!
We had the opportunity to frame the grand prize for a treasure hunt, featuring a collection of coins with information about each one printed directly onto the mat. It turned the frame into both a display piece and a way to tell the story behind the treasure.
We can honestly say this was our first time being part of a treasure hunt, and it was such a fun project from start to finish!
A huge thank you to Zekes Lost Treasure for including us and trusting us with such a creative piece.
What’s the most unique thing you've ever had framed? We'd love to hear about it in the comments!

Every restoration starts with a little detective work.

The first transformation you see this week isn't adding color—it's correcting the photo's levels. Over the years, photographs naturally lose contrast, causing details to fade into the background. By carefully adjusting those values, we're able to bring back depth and detail that have been hidden for decades.

Then comes the fun part... color.

Notice the strong shadows? They tell us this photo was taken on a bright, sunny day, helping us make informed decisions about things like the vibrant blue sky and the overall lighting. Every color choice is made to create a restoration that feels authentic while honoring the original photograph.

Now it's your turn...

📅 What year do you think this photo was taken? Leave your best guess in the comments! Check back tomorrow for the answer in the comments!

We love getting to rreserve yesterday for tomorrow.

Check out these from Larson-Juhl that are now on our design wall. We are loving the old-world detailing as well as the classic shapes of this collection. They would work perfectly on souvenirs with metallic touches from Italy or Egypt as well as professional certificates.
Come try them on your next custom piece!
