🌍 Happy Earth Day! We're going carbon neutral! 🌎
First things first: carbon neutral is a fancy way to say that whatever waste we can't minimize in our operations, we will now be offsetting by funding carbon capture projects. We're working with a super cool startup out of Paris called to make it possible.
This is bittersweet: consumption is harmful. We make lots of tangible & intangible waste and, as a small business, nobody requires us to acknowledge or minimize waste. We're going to anyway and we're not going to pass any of the cost on to you. This is not perfect and is one step of many, but something we're very excited & humbled to do!
Now for the positive part! We will continuously be investing in many neat projects and look forward to sharing them here. Our current projects are clean burning stoves for Ethiopian coffee farmers, clean water access for families in Laos, and conservation projects for the Amazon rainforest. And other businesses can get involved, too. We'd love for any interested friends to reach out if they'd like to embark on this journey for their own small biz. Our partners at CarbonCroc are looking for as many businesses as possible to leverage their technology!
