Free Ride

Free Ride's mission is to increase access to affordable bicycles in the Pittsburgh area. Free Ride is the oldest community bike shop in Pittsburgh.

We’re stoked to announce the Scrap Cat Alleycat hosted by us (), and on June 13th!
Sign ups are now live on BikeReg (https://www.bikereg.com/free-ride-scrap-cat). $15 per rider (all proceeds go to Free Ride). Starts/ends at 3ROC.

We are hosting a chill bike ride (~5 miles, from Cinderlands Warehouse to the Point and back). Ride will start at 6:45pm on Wednesday May 20th! We will also have a bike bus from 3ROC down to Cinderlands Warehouse starting at 6pm! We’ll hang out at Cinderlands post-ride. Grab a drink to support Free Ride & hang out with friends or meet new friends in the bike community 🚲
We’ll bike back to the east end after the event as well. **All are welcome, all parts of the event are no drop!!**

We’re bringing back GEMs night 🥳 Gender Expansive Mechanics Night is every 4th Thursday of the month. It’s an affinity space for people who experience gender marginalization to work on bikes, ask mechanical questions, and meet other GEMs in the community! Bring your own bike or learn mechanic skills on on of ours! No experience necessary 🛠️🚲
