After 35+ years, this fall marks the end of an era for B&R Cards & Coins.

Since 1989, we've set up at shows, met incredible people, and built friendships over cards, coins, and everything in between. My dad has been my partner in this the whole way — even got us featured together in Sports Collectors Daily along the way. With his health declining, it's time for us to step back and just be collectors again.

We have two shows left:

📍 October 24-25 — Westmoreland Mall
📍 October 30 - November 1 — Monroeville Convention Center

We'll be selling off most of our show inventory at these two events — this is the place to be if you've been eyeing something from our cases. If you're a friendly face who wants to talk deals before the shows, you know how to reach me — DM us here.

To everyone who has stopped by our tables, traded stories, and become friends over the years — thank you. It's meant more than you know.

We're not disappearing from the hobby completely. We'll still be chasing pre-war Pirates, McCutchen items, and other cool pieces for our own collection, so keep us in mind if you come across anything special.

In Houston and stopped into Katy Cards and Collectibles — and wouldn't you know it, found not one, not two, but THREE pieces with Pittsburgh ties. Had to bring these home.

⚾ JJ WETHERHOLT ROOKIE PATCH AUTO

2025 Topps Finest RC, Topps Certified Autograph, player-worn memorabilia patch. Wetherholt is a Mars HS and WVU product — Western PA roots all the way to the big leagues with the Cardinals. Big name, big patch, big card.

🏈 LARRY FITZGERALD PSA/DNA AUTO — GEM MINT 10

SPX autograph, certified PSA 10. Fitz starred at Pitt before becoming one of the greatest receivers to ever play the game — and TODAY he's officially inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Perfect day to add this one to the collection.

🏈 CHRIS BOSWELL /99

The most accurate kicker in Steelers history, numbered 61/99. Boswell doesn't miss, and neither does this card.

Doesn't matter where we are when Pittsburgh finds you, you grab it.

🇺🇸 250 YEARS OF FREEDOM, CELEBRATED IN CARDBOARD! 🇺🇸

We cracked open a couple boxes of Foundations of Freedom from Indie Trading Card Company — a company we found on Kickstarter — to celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary, and it did not disappoint! 🎆

Highlights include /25 numbered cards of Babe Ruth and George S. Patton, gorgeous /50 gold parallels of Harriet Tubman and Alexander Hamilton, American All Stars featuring Daniel Boone and Abraham Lincoln, and the Money Moves insert set with J.P. Morgan and Henry Ford.

Dealers — quick question for you. 🙋

How many times has this happened to you: you get home from a show, and you're trying to remember what you sold, what you bought, and whether it was actually a good day — based on napkin math and your best guess? 😅

I've been tinkering with something to fix that. It's called ShowTally 📋 — a simple tool that lets you record your sales and purchases right at the table during a show, then spits out a clean report at the end. No more guessing.

Taking a break from the cards and coins world to share a little road trip fun! 🍔🎮🚗🍺

We stopped into Cook's Burger Bar in Williamsburg, VA and it did NOT disappoint! Great food, great vibes, and a few surprises along the way...

First — the bad beer quest continues! 🏆 Nothing like cracking open a Natural Light to keep the streak alive. Some quests never end and we wouldn't have it any other way. 😂

Then we spotted a poster of a 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera Brougham Sedan on the wall... aka my FIRST CAR. 🚗❤️ Talk about a throwback! Didn't expect to get hit with that kind of nostalgia over a burger and fries!

And saving the best for last — a PULP FICTION pinball machine. 🎰🎬 One of my all-time favorite movies, and this thing was fully playable. "The path of the righteous man..." (Ezekiel 25:17, right there on the cabinet!) If you know, you know. 🙌

Cook's Burger Bar, you earned a return visit. Highly recommend if you're ever in Williamsburg, VA! 📍

- May 7, 1992 — Home Game D at Chicago Stadium. MJ drops 27 on the way to back-to-back titles.

- May 11, 1993 — Home Game C at Chicago Stadium. Jordan goes OFF for 43 points. 🐐

July 20, 1978 at Korakuen Stadium. The greatest home run hitter in baseball history — 868 career home runs — and we have a ticket from that season. A rare piece of Japanese baseball history! 🇯🇵

💣 Barry Bonds — Home Run #73 Record-Setting Ticket
October 7, 2001 at Pacific Bell Park, Giants vs. Dodgers. The day Bonds broke the all-time single-season home run record. One of the most historic moments in baseball history, and we have the ticket! 🐐⚾

We recently added a pair of stunning 1909 Pittsburgh rarities that any serious collector would love:

📸 Forbes Field Opening Day — June 30, 1909
A rare panoramic postcard capturing the very first game ever played at what they called the "World's Greatest Baseball Field." The crowd, the grandstand, the moment frozen in time. Absolutely breathtaking.

📸 1909 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Postcard
The year Honus Wagner and the Bucs won it ALL. This team postcard from that championship season is a piece of pure Pittsburgh baseball history.

Both pieces are over 115 years old and in remarkable condition. History like this doesn't come around often!

Okay basketball people — help me out here. 🏀
I’m a baseball and football guy at heart, but these cards caught my eye at the show today and I couldn’t leave them behind. The refractor designs on these are just too cool.
We’ve got Kobe Bryant Topps Hidden Gems and Top Tandems with Shaq, plus a couple of Michael Jordan Topps inserts — Sticky Fingers and En Fuego.
So I’m asking the basketball collectors… what did I buy? Are these as cool as they look? What are they worth? Drop your knowledge in the comments! 👇
