Workshop PGH WorkshopPGH is a fun DIY School with workshops on sewing, woodworking, fiber arts, food, art, craft & more!

We offer fun team building/ event rentals at our unique warehouse space. Check out our Fiber School in Garfield or our store in Wilkinsburg. Workshop is a retail store with handmade goods, unique products and creates in house artists made goods, diy kits and offers classes.

Big ole cheese restock with a few newbies in the cooler of the Teenie We**ie Kitchen Shop.
- LaClare Creamery blueberry goat cheese in the mix along with thier Ube. We love La Clare. My fam lives near by and I go there 2x a year to pet the goats and see the cheese made. It’s awesome!!!
- keystonecheese Mobay, cheese curds and blueberry cheddar. Yummm!
- Maytag Dairy Farms blue cheese which is delicious- had on a salad recently and loved it! Make an amazing wedge or nibble w crackers. So goood
- Lil baby Brie wheels too!
- Pine River spreadable cheeses
- Fresh restock on Lil Hummus brand hummus, also super delicious. The staff is obsessed with the onion hummus with a Madeleine baguette or on Pigeon Bagels.

Also- don’t forget, we have a pretty big selection of miniature jams, miniature, honey’s and crackers and pretzels. So you can pick up some charcuterie nibbles for a picnic! We also are freshly stocked on a few charcuterie meats too like red w**e & garlic, the fennel and the smoked paprika varieties of Vermont Salumi - which is super tasty!

Our Annual Craft Crawl is next Saturday along Penn Ave! We can’t wait to have a blast with y’all and make stuff over the day! We are looking for a few more volunteers to help us craft, block print and just bring this super fun event to Penn Ave. DM us to volunteer and we’ll trade ya some workshop class credit.

Also if you’re excited to come and participate- we will have an $8 pass that support the event and gets you a super nice wide fancier tote bag you can block print all up and down the street over the day. It helps cover the costs of the event and is pretty sweet! We will have over 20 craft stations along the path that we’ll announce this Friday along with tickets for the craft pass/ tote bag. STAY TUNED! The event is free to go explore and enjoy though with lots of free or low cost/ donation based crafts you join in on besides the popular block printing tour.
We had such a blast last year and so many folks came out to craft and scope out all the amazing Penn Ave businesses. There’s so many new businesses that have opened along the Penn Avenue corridor, and we host this event so that you can get out there and craft, connect and engage in so many different spots while also supporting these amazing daytime businesses during construction. It’s all volunteer run and we do it to give you crafting fun and community, as well as to support all the amazing businesses up and down Penn Ave. Can’t wait to see ya!

Our last Second Sundays of the season is this Sunday along the 700 S. Trenton Ave block with 4 super local vendors, the Craft-o-matic craft vending machine, an ice cream pop up, Indivisible Regent Square with music & voter registration, live block printing (BYO own shirt or something to print or snag a $5 tote or free patch). Looks like a super fun day on our favorite, dreamy lil corner of Wilkinsburg/ Regent Square. Come check out neighbors PSÁRI MARKET Fungus Books Biddle's Escape Madeleine and shop all super local vendors. This is like an adorable mini block party and a perfect way to spend an hour or two in the neighborhood.

Vendors this week include WILSON’S WORKSHOP • nat Death In Company Alex Riccobon and • 𝒀𝑨𝑹𝑨 𝑫𝑬𝑺𝑰𝑮𝑵𝑺 🤍.. All the vendors are from the neighborhood and this event is free to vend to support the community ❤️❤️❤️ Swing by from 11-3pm this Sunday!

We just posted our first Kinusaiga classes for October and November. We can’t wait for this one! So fun to practice and just develop our skills on this new craft. Fortunately, there are pieces of this class that tie into a lot of crafts we already teach like punch needle, tufting, embroidery, quilting- so it’s been easier than expected to develop. Between having our own wood shop and developing similar workshops- we were able to quickly source material so we can make our own frames & prep boards. Woohoo. So here we go!

This class will come with a pre-carved block of foam so that you have time to complete your peice in class. As well, so you can learn at an achievable one class session pace – then be able to do more complicated pieces for your own designs at home. We also will be selling the frames & cut boards to students if they’d like more for $15 a piece after class. We know not everyone can cut insulation foam easily and make frames that work perfectly.

New class alert! Kinusaiga is coming soon! We’re working on some unique patterns and wrapping up some kits & samples for this workshop over the next week. We can’t wait! Like many folks- we saw this on media over the last year and were mesmerized but it and also for an amazing scrap buster project. We’re trying to come up with new classes that are really fun, unique and also can help us re use materials, wood class scraps and sewing remnants from our workshops. So we’re excited to try this- stay tuned. We hope to drop these later this week for October and November and using handmade frames, our own designs and fun fabrics. It’s been really fun and very user friendly, reminding us of quilting without any sewing. Keep yours eyes peeled. 👀
