Workshop Games was created to follow the passion of Magic: The Gathering to a whole new level. Back in 2013, a close colleague jump started my passion of Mtg to a whole new level by introducing a format called Legacy to me. Legacy was leaps and bounds from the casual play I had been experimenting for years. I loved seeing all these cards and how they interacted with one another and how people put
time and thought into their decks to achieve their goals. Each deck showed a part of the person's play style, their thought process, their personality. On TCGPlayer, I was selling under the name TheBlazingReanimator (smashed 2 of my deck names together Blazing Shoal and Reanimator) and enjoyed it. Two years later, I'm wanting to step up this hobby to another level once more. Now you might be asking why I chose the name WorkShop Games...
1: I started playing vintage recently, and the pillar I chose was Shops. A version of an all artifact deck that ran 4 Mishra's Workshop. Mishra's Workshop is a card that tapped for 3 mana to cast artifact spells. I wanted a name to show my passion, and also show that I am explosive (in sales and growth).
2: What do workshops do??? People build/construct/craft things in them. I wanted a name that was strong, a name that showed growth. A name that symbolized people building their dreams, or passions, something that symbolizes building friendships and a community. What better name than WorkShop Games? Here's to a strong start, a solid community, and a humble beginning!
