The rain held off and it was a great day for a farmers market. There were some veggies and cotton candy that didn't sell so these items will be available today at Local. Paul, Blackwater Honey Forge, restocked his raw honey at Local. Andrea, Wood Shack Juices of New England, had taste sampling of her products at the market and then restocked her products at Local. She has 3 new flavors of her juices - rasberry, pomegranate, and cranberry - perfect flavors for the fall- get a head start on building up your immunity before the flu season hits!
We had a number of new items arrive yesterday - I'll have pictures in my Wednesday post.
Enjoy the Labor Day holiday weekend! Thank you to those of you who stopped at the market to shop and show support for the market vendors. If you have suggestions for how we can improve the market for next year, please send along suggestions. We appreciate the feedback we receive. We are already planning to have more signs and have a sign in advance to remind people of the market date and time.

It's Farmer's Market Day. Come on out and meet our local vendors. We have maple products, cotton candy, soft serve ice cream, steamed hot dogs, veggies, goat milk, goat milk lotions, honey and honey products, and elderberry products (they will have samples that you can try!). Barnstead Citizen of the Year, Ann Carr, will have a table with her beautiful knitted items. You can find various baked goods inside Local.

Local will be open 9:30am-5pm today and 12:30-4pm tomorrow (Sunday).

Sandy brought a beautiful stained glass hanging to Local
Justin is having a fall sale on his adirondack chairs. The pine chair has been reduced to $150 and the maple chair has been reduced to $225. Take a look at the 2 chairs we have at Local - you can place an order and Justin will bring the chairs to Local for you. You can also purchase the chairs that are already at Local.

Stop by the market this Sat! Here is the line up of vendors as of today. Looks like we will have good weather as the showers aren't supposed to start til the afternoon. We are waiting to hear from a couple of additional vendors.

Well it's a new week at Local and I can't wait to see what our artisans bring here. Welcome to our newest Lisa who makes glass creations (we now have 4 Lisa's at Local!). I've got some snowflakes, a glass sunflower, and my favorite - a seahorse. Her items come with gift boxes.
Fresh bread, cookies, and flowers are delivered to Local today.

A reminder that our farmers market is this Saturday 10am-2pm right here in the parking lot. Hope to see you there!

Good morning all! Alicia visited Local and restocked our CBD shelf - products for people and pets. When I first heard about CBD products, I was sceptical as to whether they would really work or if it was just another gimmick. I have used the pet drops for my pug for the past 2 years and it has done wonders for her. She had bad arthritis in her rear hips that limited her mobility due to the pain. SInce beginning the CBD drops, she is able to run around and clilmb stairs with no apparent pain!
Looking for a unique item for a baby shower? We have a new item - baby octopus. Babies love to play with the tentacles. You could hang one from their car seat to give them some visual stimulation. This would make a good addition to a gift basket.

Good morning! Our artisans continue to bring in new creations to Local. Sharon S restocked her shelves with new fall and Halloween painted wood decor. There are some really cute new designs on her shelves.
We have lots of fresh sourdough breads - Italian herb, jalapeno cheddar, caramalized onion, everything, and plain. We have some rasberry scones with white chocolate icing and plenty of maple scones (which seems to be the favorite scone at Local). Sandy brought more fresh flower bouquets to Local.

Morning all! Well you never know who might come into Local carrying a box and talking about a product that he makes. Sunday I met a guy, Bob, who makes the most amazing spice mix called Moose Mix. He wanted to know if I would like to carry his product at Local. He gave me a sample bottle to try at home. I decided to take 12 bottles and see if they would sell. One bottle sold before it even reached the shelf. Last night I used the spice in my meatloaf and it gave the meat a really good flavor. I will have a sample bottle on the counter so you can smell the spice. The smell is as good as the flavor!
Here are a couple pictures of some of the earrings that Heidi, Kind Finds, brought to Local. She has a nice variety of fall and Halloween earrings.
Sourdough bread, scones, and cookies will be delivered to Local from Bees and Trees Farm.

Good morning! Here's the latest owl that landed at Local yesterday. Another one of KenfusionCreations! Ken also brought more of his little metal dogs. These are the perfect size for Yankee Swaps or stocking stuffers. Rumor has it that soon there will be pumpkins.
