Noon to 3:30

Pickup and drop-off is right across from Placerville News Company — so after you ride like it’s 1856, come shop like it’s today.

As we step into a brand-new year, we’re reminded that some things are built to last.

For nearly two centuries, the building at 409 Main Street has stood through fires, floods, booms, busts, and everything in between. And for over 113 years, Placerville News Company has been part of that story—serving generations of locals with curiosity, care, and a whole lot of heart.

Those original 1856 floors have felt miners’ boots, kids buying comics, and families starting traditions that still walk through our doors today. We’re proud to be four generations in, still adapting, still listening, and still welcoming you in—whether you’re here for a Hallmark ornament, art supplies, a thoughtful gift, or just a moment of browsing that turns into an hour.

As the calendar flips, we’re looking ahead with gratitude, optimism, and a firm commitment to staying exactly what we’ve always been:
