Hi y’all! At the market on Saturday, it became abundantly clear that folks were wanting something specific and they sold out quickly. So I’m now offering preorders for both market pick up AND farm stand pick up in Mosquito (45 minutes from Placerville, for those who aren’t neighbors!).

I wanted to make an introduction post for all the new faces!

My name is Jamae, and I’m a mother of two boys, baker, aspiring farmer, and partner to my better half, Shawn.

I began baking more seriously when our oldest was born because I was shocked at the long lists in seemingly simple foods. I started baking for us, then my neighbors, then for the whole neighborhood in Mosquito/Swansboro, and now at the farmers market!

I’m so grateful that I get to be a full time stay at home mom while baking all my market offerings fresh and from scratch.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our little family and I can’t wait to see what this year holds ❤️🙏🏻🌸

Hi y’all, it’s been a difficult decision but moving forward we will no longer be at the Wednesday evening Placerville Farmers Markets. Please still go and support the local farmers, bakers, and artisans who work so hard for this community! Thank you all for your understanding, and we’ll still see you at our Saturday and Sunday markets ❤️🥰

Hi Mosquito/Swansboro neighbors! I try to not be super involved in local politics, but I feel the need to post and support the incredible volunteers, Support Group, and other professionals who keep our community healthy and safe.

For those who haven’t heard, there is a proposed Shared Services Agreement with Georgetown and Garden Valley Fire Departments. Our little community is reaching a critical point for the future of our volunteer fire station, staffing, and ability to handle emergencies. The Shared Services Agreement would greatly strengthen our resources and relationship with our neighboring departments, with the potential to grow our resources even more.

Please read the article below and email the MFPD with your thoughts- I personally believe an informational Town Hall would be an excellent opportunity to clarify exactly what the Agreement means for us. Thank you to everyone for taking the time to read and email, I know everyone is busy but our community depends on this decision.
