Hello everyone!
I wanted to post an update on the status of the Barber Shop. I am set to open for business on Friday, May 15. I can’t thank you enough for your patience and support during the past few months. I am so grateful to all of you who donated money, purchased gift cards, dropped off food and sent kindness our way. My family and I are blessed to be part of such a great community!
Due to COVID-19 several changes have been made to the Barber Shop in order to insure the health and safety of my customers as well as myself.
I am currently only taking scheduled appointments rather than my usual walk in business. This is in compliance with the Governors new rules and regulations for our industry. I know that this is a big change for everyone, but it’s currently the best option. Appointments will be made through Square and I have posted the link on my page. For guest who don’t feel comfortable booking online there will be a signup sheet outside the shop where you can leave your name and phone number and I will return your call as soon as possible to get you scheduled. Appointments will run every 30 minutes which will allow me time to properly clean and sanitize in between each customer. I will be complying with all of the CDC and Barber Board recommendations. I will be wearing a mask during all services and hand sanitizer will be provided for all customers upon entry and departure. At this time I am not requiring customers to wear masks during their appointments, however if you feel more comfortable wearing one that is absolutely fine.
Per the Governors orders, traditional waiting rooms are currently not allowed and the play room is closed. You will also not be allowed to bring anyone with you to your appointment. If a young child is getting a haircut one parent or guardian may accompany him into the building. Children who are not receiving haircuts will not be allowed in the shop. If you require a caregiver one person may enter the building with you. I know that this is also a big change, but failure to follow these rules could result in a major fine for my business. I will only be allowing customers to enter the building at the start of their scheduled appointment. If you arrive early please remain in your car, or you can sit outside the Barber Shop on the provided benches.
Most importantly, if you have been recently exposed to anyone having COVID-19 or you are experiencing fever/cough/cold/flu like symptoms please cancel and reschedule! I am a type 1 diabetic with an increased risk and I simply can’t be exposed to anyone experiencing those symptoms.
Please be extra patient with me the next few weeks during these transitions. I’m asking that customers not be more than 10 mins late to your appointment, or you may have to reschedule. I will try my best to be on time as well as get guests called and booked as quickly as possible. These are uncertain times and I’m sure that some of this will be trial and error.
I’m really looking forward to getting back to work and seeing all of you. Thank you again for your patience and support during this time. Your health and safety are of my utmost concern. Please feel free to DM me if you have any questions or you can call the shop at 614-504-7516. Thanks and God bless!
