🌿 Growing Gratitude 🌿

Teachers spend their days pouring into the children of our community, and we wanted to find a simple way to say thank you.

Our goal is to place a beautiful planter in every classroom across all five Jonathan Alder school buildings. Not only will they bring a little green space indoors, but we hope they’ll also serve as a daily reminder that our community truly appreciates all that our teachers do.

To make each planter even more special, Jonathan Alder Local Schools will be adding their “One Word” sticker to each one as an extra source of encouragement throughout the school year.

This project is completely community supported. Sponsorships start at just $10, but you’re welcome to give any amount you’d like. Every dollar helps us put a planter into a classroom, and every sponsoring family or business will be recognized on one of the appreciation cards delivered with the planters.

If this is something you’d like to be a part of, we’d love your help! Whether you sponsor one planter or several, you’re helping us remind our teachers that their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.

We can accept cash, checks, or credit/debit cards. If you’d like to sponsor, just stop by Plain City Florist, give us a call, or send us a message and we’ll get you taken care of.

Please note: This is a community project created and organized by Plain City Florist. Jonathan Alder Local Schools has graciously partnered with us by providing their “One Word” sticker for each planter, but the district is not organizing, collecting, or managing sponsorships for this project.

Flower processing🎉
Every bunch of flowers comes in plastic wrapping and the stems are secured with rubber bands.
Each bunch needs opened, stems need trimmed and leaves need stripped.
Sometimes flowers arrive broken. If they have enough stem on them we will save them for small arrangements but if not they go to the compost bin with the rest of the trimmings.

A little secret about ZZ plants… they’re happiest when you forget about them for a while. 😄

Seriously! If you’re wondering whether it’s time to water it, it probably isn’t. Let the soil dry out completely, then give it a good drink.

They’re one of my favorite plants to recommend because they’re tough, forgiving, and still look great even if life gets busy.
