Since y’all love when we do how to choose a mahjong hand videos, I thought I’d take you along with me for today’s Siamese game against my husband. Spoiler alert, I won!
After the deal, I get organized across both racks, looking holistically at all tiles I’ve drawn. I was the east for this game, so started with 28 tiles while my husband had 27.
The two sections that popped out at me after the deal were 2026 and 13579. We did a quick courtesy pass and got straight into the game. It was quickly evident exactly which hand I should play in the 2026 section and I had a primary hand in 13579 with two pivot options.
After a handful of turns, it was time to break up the tiles I was holding for pivots, as I had collected more tiles towards the primary hand and already had lots of Jokers to give me flexibility between hands.
And finally, I won!! Happy mahj-ing, y’all!
