SEPTEMBER 11, 2001
Never Forget.

When I am about to post, Meta asks "What's on your mind?" Today the answer is achingly obvious.

With astonishing ignorance, people I care for have told me, "I was just a kid, it hasn't really affected me." Further, they are choosing not to educate their own children about 9-11 (and forbidding others to) because "we don't want them to be upset."

Some events affect our lives whether we know it or not.
Some events can never be forgotten, lest they happen again.
This is one of them. ~ Kristen

PENNIES from ... TEXAS ?!

Yup! Dave, a delightful, polite and smart fellow -- he's an engineer -- visits now and again to help out a certain major local company. He shops with us. And gifted us with pennies!

There's an old song called "Pennies from Heaven." Seems appropriate on this rainy day to share the lyrics with you:

"Every time it rains, it rains pennies from heaven.
Don't you know each cloud contains pennies from heaven?
You'll find your fortune falling all over town
Be sure that your umbrella is turned upside down

Trade them for a package of sunshine and sunflowers
If you want the things you love, you must have showers
So, when you hear it thunder, don't run under a tree
There'll be pennies from heaven for you and me."

Thanks for bringing us sunshine and sunflowers, Dave. We are grateful. ~ Kristen and the J&C Team 🌻🌻

From the forward:
"When did starting a day become so complicated?"
Let me start this day over, Lord."

If you've visited, you know we dedicate a quiet corner to self care and wellness. As we turn the calendar to autumn and all that portends, I feel myself needing a reset. I am "nudged" to ask whether you might, too.
Warmly, ~ Kristen
