One Stubborn Geode Turned Into a Whole Team Project 😂

Tina’s geode apparently required a support team. 😂🪨

What starts with one unopened rock turns into quite the gathering around our geode-cracking wheel. Our Rock Stars get involved, a determined young helper joins the mission, and Nate brings his effort to the challenge.

At this point, we’re all invested. We want to see what’s inside!

This is one of our favorite things about geode cracking: everybody gets pulled into the same little mystery. We can look at the outside, make our guesses, and talk about what might be hiding in there—but that first look inside is still a surprise. ✨

This one makes us work for it. Stay for the crack, Tina’s reaction, and the close-up look at the sparkling interior.

His First Coconut Geode Came With Pirate Commentary 🏴‍☠️😂

“There be jewels!” 🏴‍☠️💎😂

Troy’s first coconut geode crack turned into a treasure hunt, and he supplied the pirate commentary himself.

From turning the wheel and wondering when the rock would finally give, to seeing the crystals and choosing a favorite half, this whole experience had us smiling.

Then the conversation somehow found its way to a unicorn inside the geode. Because discovering what’s in a rock leaves plenty of room for imagination. 🦄

But Troy also gave us a line we love:
“Half of it’s the experience.”

The anticipation, the encouragement, the laughter, and that shared first look inside become part of the story you take home with your geode.

Trevor came in hoping for smoky quartz… and this coconut geode made us all wait for the answer! 😂🤎

It’s his first visit to Wandering Stones and his first time cracking a coconut geode. The wish is made, the geode is ready, and everybody is watching that wheel.

Then it finally opens—and we get to explore those sparkling crystals and the larger points hiding inside. ✨

“I think you got what you wanted.”

Amethyst or Smoky Quartz? Everyone Had a Guess Before This Geode Cracked!

Everyone had a prediction for this coconut geode… but we still had to crack it to find out! 👀💎

Our guest takes the wheel while one of our Rock Stars helps position her geode. The anticipation builds, the group starts guessing, and suddenly everyone is invested in what’s hiding inside.

“I think probably amethyst.”
“Maybe smoky.”

Then comes the crack—and the fun of seeing it up close.

“Oh my gosh!”
“That’s cool.”
“It’s like green!” 💚

She Said “You Do It”… Then Nate Revealed This! 💜

She let Nate take the wheel… and this geode did not give up its secret easily! 😂🪨

Daisy was happy to let Nate handle the cracking while she waited to see what was inside. A few determined turns, a whole lot of anticipation, and one satisfying split later, we got our answer: beautiful banded agate wrapped around a sparkling, pale amethyst center. 💜✨

And then there’s her reaction. The hands to her chest. The smile. That moment when an ordinary-looking rock becomes something she’ll remember.

We love the crystals, of course. Getting to share that first look with someone is what makes these moments so special.

He Chose a Geode for His Birthday—Then Came the Green Glow! 💚

He picked it because the green caught his eye. Then we brought out the UV light. 💚👀

Blake chose this Trancas geode as a little birthday treat for himself. It was his second Trancas, and this particular one had the kind of green on the outside that made him stop and say, “This one spoke to me.”

Of course, choosing the geode is only the beginning.

We followed an existing crack, put the safety cover in place, and turned the wheel until we could finally see what he’d chosen. Inside were beautiful crystal-lined pockets, interesting shapes, and a surprise that really showed itself under UV light.

That GREEN. 💚

There’s something special about giving yourself an experience where you get to be surprised, curious, and completely delighted by a rock.

This Coconut Geode Was NOT the Boss of Us! 😂💎

This coconut geode really thought it was in charge. 😂💎

Our guests gave it a try. Nate helped. We reset, tried again, offered encouragement, and eventually found ourselves in a full negotiation with a rock.

There was even a “phone a friend” suggestion. At that point, fair question. 😂

The longer it held out, the more everyone wanted to know what was hiding inside. By the time we were ready for the reveal, “Please be awesome” summed it up perfectly.

And then… that blue agate. 💙

A beautiful blue rim, sparkling crystals, and a little extra investigating with the blacklight. This one gave us a whole story before it gave us a look inside!

A Big Geode With Tiny Quartz Towers Inside!

“Got a perfect one.” Wait until you see those little quartz towers! 🤍💙

There’s a lot of anticipation between loading a geode into the cracker and finally seeing what’s inside. This one rewarded the wait with a beautiful blue-and-white interior, crystal textures, and little quartz towers that deserved their own close-up. 🔨✨

We take a closer look at both halves and bring out the UV flashlight before wrapping up. Which detail would have you looking twice?
