🫖 We’re spilling the tea…

First things first: Curioaks online is officially closed. Apologies that we gave no forewarning or celebratory last call sale. This was a difficult decision that involved big personal life changes and fresh new directions for Okey and Stacey! Our inventory is still in hand, though we are trying to find local hands to take it over.

What this means for our social media profiles: We expect that the community wouldn’t mind a pivot to simply sharing our love of all things bookish and whimsy. Would you? But until we figure that out, we won’t be posting much. It’s still a great way to stay in touch with us (our inbox is still open both on Facebook and Instagram) and maybe hear news of any new creative projects we’ll do, though at the moment we have no plans.

What this means for Blueberry Festival: our beloved booth is hanging in the balance for now. 2025 may have been our crowning achievement as well as our last year in business. We were so excited to be making new friends and meeting you all, that cutting this short feels like a great loss. If we do work something out for this year, it won’t be under the Curioak’s banner. Your Curioaks treasures are now relics of an era of whimsy the likes that Plymouth has never seen! Maybe the whimsical, curious flame lit by our little candle will live on…✨🕯️

What this means for you: Let our creative project be remembered with a smile whenever you gaze upon your Curioaks treasures. Reach out to us and tell us the fates of your festival trinkets, or tell us of your favorite interactions at the booth. We loved helping you Christmas shop for your loved ones, or hearing how your long search for the perfect wallet found its conclusion at our store. It would mean the world to us to hear your stories now more than ever!

We leave you on this bittersweet note: this isn’t the end. The journey had only just begun…it is transforming into something else entirely. Not unlike our little moth mascots! 🦋 (still petitioning for a moth emoji)
We encourage you to follow the little light of curiosity whenever it sparks in your own life. Like a moth to a flame. 🔥

A small update for our lovely Curioaks customers:

After much consideration and the transpiring of the last few months, we’ve decided that our last day at Painted Tree Fort Wayne will be December 8th. We’ve loved having a little corner to help build our community of curiosity seekers, and we’re grateful for everyone who stopped by to pick up a trinket or two, and supported our small shop of wonders.

With some recent behind-the-scenes challenges at Painted Tree, we realized it was time to turn the page and step into a new chapter for Curioaks. This was an especially difficult decision as holiday shopping will be at its peak, and we hate to leave our shoppers hanging. So if you’ve had your eye on something in our booth, now is the perfect time to swing by before we pack up on December 8th.

We’ll continue to be fully online at Curioaks.com, and we’ll be focusing more on pop-ups, special events, and festivals (our favorite way to interact with you all anyway).

Thank you for shopping small this holiday season (truly). Your support has given us our best year yet! We’re excited to bring even more mystery and whimsy your way into 2026!
