Fall is in full swing and soon most of our annuals and perennials will be done for the season! 🍁🍂

There is still much to be done for your lawns, however. Seeding time is ending, leaving you time for lawn cleanup and winter preparation.

As we approach the end of October, your grass’s growth is slowing down. Make sure to remove leaves and other debris as they fall and begin to cut your grass at a lower level. Then, watch the forecast for news of a HARD FROST (28° or lower)

Sometime between Halloween and Thanksgiving but BEFORE the killing first is the IDEAL time to apply dolomitic lime to improve soil pH in the Spring. This is also when you should apply a fall fertilizer/winterizer (AKA Scott’s Step 4 & Jonathan Green Winter Survival). By timing your winterizer properly, you ensure that your grass has the energy it needs to survive the cold winter months and return in the spring with a bang!💥

We carry both Jonathan Green and Scott’s Winter products as well as 50lb bags of the slower-release dolomitic lime. Come in to get yours today!
