The Christ Church Thrift Shoppe is getting closer to reopening, but there are still some finishing touches yet to be made before we can open our doors again.

Although a partial “home demo-to-reno” was not on our bingo card, sadly, the recent damaging flood at the Christ Church Thrift Shoppe has made that unavoidable.

There is much work to be done to put things right, and when we reopen, it promises to be better than ever.

We are hoping for a mid-May re-opening (we’ll keep you posted here on our page — CCP Thrift Shoppe as soon as we know for sure), and plan to celebrate with splendid sales for all our loyal shoppers. We miss you all, and pray we will see you soon.

It is with regret that the Thrift Shoppe will not be open this week(Thursday-Saturday, April 23-25) as we continue to mitigate the effects of the flood we experienced last week, and make necessary repairs. When we are certain that it is safe to reopen, we’ll welcome back shoppers with some big sales and our heartfelt appreciation of their patience and understanding.

When volunteers arrived at the Thrift Shoppe to stock racks on Wednesday, we discovered a major flood, that included the check-out room, adjoining closet and basement. Thankfully it had not reached clothing rooms or the kitchen.

This is a large loss of inventory and cost of rebuild for us. We ask for your prayers and patience when shopping in our remaining rooms.

We still have lots of inventory, especially spring and summer clothing. So come on over and support us. And find some great buys. And as always, our proceeds support Christ Church and local outreach.
