We have lost a great humanitarian today. Dolly Parton's commitment to literacy is bar none! Her Imagination Library is in its 31st year and has gifted 300,000,000+ books since its inception. Three million children are gifted a book each month in five countries.

Dolly started Imagination Library as a tribute to her father, as she believed his life would have been fuller had he learned to read. Her hope was to supply books to children in her county, and the program grew to nationwide, supplying the US, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Canada, and Australia.

Well done, Dolly, we'll done, and rest in peace.
