Ladies and gents



The 15th rendition of Casting for HOPE will be held on October 23, 2021 at Random Lake. I hope you weren’t waiting around to here from me to make your plans!!



Below are the need-to-know details. Email me IN and number of fisherman expected in the boat. We look forward to having another action packed field of fisherman – holler with questions, concerns, comments, etc.



$75 per man entry fee – CASH prizes to championship boat and individual biggest musky.


a. Championship boat takes home $500 cash (and the coveted traveling CFH trophy)!

b. Individual biggest fish will take home $5.00 * the number of fisherman signed up (likely $225 to $300)!

Post tournament banquet will be held outside at the pavilion near the Random Lake boat launch. Food and beverages will be provided. John Cornell has again agreed to provide BBQ style dinner.


Check-in will open at approximately 7:00 a.m. Tourney start time is 8:00, end time is 4:00. Suckers are not available on the launch site so plan accordingly. At check-in, we will get you paid up if you haven’t sent in you payment, provide you your scorecard and judge boat information. NOTE- there will be no informational fliers. Tournament rules, info, guidelines, etc. are all available at www.castingforhope.com which has a mobile friendly view so we should be set there. You can paypal your entry fee to [email protected].


Gradual boat release starting at 8:00… each boat will be assigned a boat number based on first come, first serve signup. All boats will gather at the landing and we will release the boats in groups of three every few minutes until everyone is out on the water. Boats can be in the water well before 8, but should stay near the landing doc with no lines in the water. Below is the order so far based on signups… once I hear from you, if I haven’t already, you will be added to the list…. Let me know ASAP.

Casting for HOPE supports Camp HOPE - a wonderful place in Stevens Point, Wisconsin where children and teenagers gather to work through the grieving process after losing a loved one.
