📣 ACTIVITY DAY - June 13, 2026 (10:30 AM - 2:30 PM)
Come and celebrate culture and community during CA State Parks Week at Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park. This event features hands-on activities, guest speakers, puppet show, guided hike, and demonstrations. Including:
▪️Tule activity with Cultural Practitioners Lillian Hall, Ione Band of Miwok Indians and Jesse Galvan, California Valley Miwok Tribe
▪️Puppet show by Marge Grow-Eppard, California Valley Miwok Tribe
▪️Fire making demonstration with Steven Walloupe, Citizen of Ione Band of Miwok Indians
▪️Talk by Dr. Anthony Burris, Citizen of Ione Band of Miwok Indians, Assistant Professor of Native American Studies, CSUS Speaker - - Ione Band of Miwok Indians Cultural Survivance
▪️Hands-on activities with California State Parks staff
