Little Creek Alpacas, established in 2008, is a chemical free farm that raises alpacas sustainably and ethically. Little Creek Alpacas was born out of a great love for animals, and the desire to become more self sufficient and raise our children in a more spiritual setting. We chose alpacas over other livestock because they are docile, earth friendly, and produce a wonderul, luxurious fiber that is better than cashmere. Alpaca fiber is not only soft, durable, and warm; it is also moisture wicking, flame retardant, water resistant, and stain resistant.

Belle Lucci wanted to say hi. She wasn't sure what to think of the new felted alpaca monster, Miss Freida Flowers. All she knows is that we need to "free da flowers" from chemical sprays and is glad we don't use any on our farm. Did you know that's how Freida got her name? She also has grandma's flower print fabric as her back side. She's sewn together with mulberry silk lace weight yarn and stuffed with alpaca fiber. You can pick her up for $35 this Sat., Sept. 12th at the Macomb Farmers Market from 8am-12pm in Chandler Park. Those are real alpaca teeth, she's truly one-of-a-kind and can't be duplicated.

Metro wanted to say hi, and show you that Miss Freida Flowers is almost done. She has been so fun to make, but each step has been a bit time consuming. I thought I would finish her hair last night, but I couldn't stay awake long enough. I can't wait to finish her today, stay tuned. I have enough toofers to make one more, lol!

Fluffy Ryder wanted to update everyone on our farm products progress. Miss Freida Flowers is close to done, I just have to finish her hair, stuff her with a little more alpaca fiber, and sew her shut. She's taking a bit longer than I expected, but I'm happy with the way she's turning out. Michelle just plied the yarns she spun from my batt blends. My oldest son will be using these yarns to knit unisex hats for our holiday shows this fall.

My 1st moveable felted alpaca monster doll is finished. Her hair is from our suri alpaca stud, Little Bean. Her smock is a recycled alpaca sock. Her body started as pipe cleaners tied together. Then I wrapped the frame with wool yarn, and used alpaca fiber from several of our alpacas to needle felt her entire body. She's bendable and fun for both kids and adults, with different textures in the body, hair, and smock. You can find her this Saturday at the Macomb Farmers Market from 8am-12pm in Chandler Park.

Destini has always been a farm favorite. She is the mother of Trifecta and Petey. She has yet to give us a female, but hopefully someday. I'm hoping to finish my new felt monster today. It's my first time making a moveable felted monster doll with button eyes and a little outfit. It's a little poncho I sewed together from a recycled alpaca sock. I just have to decide what color and style of hair to give it, and it will come to life. Stay tuned, this was fun! I don't know if I'll make another one. I'm trying to do new things to save my brain from deteriorating (because it feels like it is and it's scaring me).

Valerie and Trifecta are inseparable. They're so cute together. Last night they were kissing, but I didn't have my phone/camera with me to capture the moment.

Our beloved Kia minivan bit the dust, so Jack Frost and I are looking for a new one. We would love to find a 2009-2016 Kia minivan with less than 125,000 miles. Does anyone near Macomb, IL have one for a reasonable price? All the new minivans suck and have no room, they're basically a modified SUV.
