There’s Always a Next Step 🎓
Today is one of those days that really shows what learning looks like at The Studio.
We’ve got Stitch Club happening, Senior Year #2, and Quilting 102—which means quilters are working at all different places in their journey.
Some are strengthening the basics. Some are tackling more advanced techniques. Some are simply trying to remember which way they pressed the last seam. 😂
And we LOVE all of it.
Because you don't have to know everything to be a quilter.
You just have to be willing to learn the next thing. 🧵❤️

New week. Fresh start. Same cutting table that somehow accumulated 47 things over the weekend. 😂

Sometimes we get so focused on what we still don't know that we forget to notice everything we know now that we didn't know a year ago.
That technique that used to intimidate you?
You do it without thinking.
That tool you were afraid to take out of the package?
It's now one of your favorites.
That project you weren't sure you could make?
You made it.
Don't measure your quilting journey only by what's left to learn.
Every once in a while, turn around and look at how far you've already come. ❤️🧵

🎓🧵 Everybody starts somewhere.
Today, we're going back to the beginning with Boot Camp with the Sisters!
This is where we start building the skills that everything else grows from—not by rushing through a bunch of tools, but by learning why they work and practicing how to use them.
And yes, there will probably be some “AHA!” moments.
There may also be some seam ripping. 😂
Both count as learning.

🍂🎲 Apparently we occasionally put the rotary cutters down.
Not often.
But it happens. 😂
Tonight is Sweater Weather Bunco at The Studio!
A little fall. A little friendly competition. A whole lot of laughing. And probably at least one person who takes Bunco MUCH more seriously than the rest of us. 👀😂
Because The Studio was never meant to be just about sewing.
Sometimes we simply need an excuse to get around the table together. ❤️

🧵 Sometimes you need to look back to see how far you've come.
Tonight our virtual Junior Year quilters tackle Block #3, and we've been thinking about everything they've learned along the way.
That's why our education programs include review, finished projects, and opportunities to use techniques again and again.
We don't want you to use a tool once.
We want you to understand it.
And eventually, we want that moment when you look at a block and think...
“Oh! I know how to do that.” ❤️
THAT is the good stuff.

🎓 There's a whole lot of learning happening around here today!
Some quilters are working on whatever happens to be under their needle at Stitch Club.
Our Senior Year students are diving into their first lesson.
And tonight, Quilting 102 keeps building those foundational skills.
That's one of our favorite things about The Studio—you don't have to know everything before you walk through the door.
You just need to be willing to learn the next thing. 🧵❤️
Because confidence isn't something that magically appears.
We build it. One technique, one block, and sometimes one ripped-out seam at a time. 😂

🧵 And just like that...we're home.
The retreat bins are back. The laundry is happening...eventually. The stories are still being told. And somehow there is already fabric back on the sewing tables. 😂
After a wonderful Sisters' Retreat, we're settling back into our regular rhythm at The Studio with Stitch Club.
There's something awfully nice about going away.
And something equally wonderful about coming back to your own sewing table. ❤️
So...who else came home from retreat—or even just the weekend—with MORE projects than they started with? 😂

The Studio packed its bags and came to retreat! 🛍️🧵
