The coldest weather we’ve had since I started growing flowers has finally passed! Frost cloths are off and while there is damage, most things have survived. I was already a bit behind this season in my plant times, and this is going to push blooming back even more unfortunately.

I have been dreaming of having an abundance of these poppies, but as things sometimes go, they’re struggling and I’m struggling to figure out exactly why. It’s likely a fungal issue, and the extreme temperature fluctuations certainly aren’t helping either. Growing a new flower for the first time always comes with a bit of a learning curve. If you’ve ever grown poppies (in Florida) and can give me any tips, I’d be ever so appreciative.
