It’s finally here!! Happy Pumpkin Fest!!

Not only will the nursery be open but we will also have our own booth selling seasonal special plants! We can’t get enough of these cute spooky pots! Come and pick out your favorite!

Our booth will have all of these adorable pots of house plants, tons of other unique house plants, special native plants, and some fun activities!

Have you heard about our new seedling project??!

CPP Nursery, under the Huntley College of Agriculture, has started a new partnership with solutionsforurbanag and Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County! We are now able to produce 15,000 plants WEEKLY that are planted at Harvest Solutions farm in Irvine. Once planted those plants are grown out and harvested, and the produce is then distributed to Orange County.

We are so thankful for the opportunity to expand our technology, student knowledge and community partnerships! We owe a huge thank you to solutionsforurbanag and Orange County Farm Bureau for this project’s success! With their support Huntley College of Agriculture students are able to gain skills in large-scale seedling production utilizing automated equipment like seeders and irrigation systems while positively impacting our local communities.
We are so proud of all the students that have been a part of this project! We are fortunate to have dedicated Cal Poly Pomona Plant Science Department students and CPP College Corps fellows to assist with this project! Stay tuned as we continue this project through the early spring!

At the CPP Nursery, students get to work hands on in the seven greenhouses here on campus. Agricultural science majors and more will find themselves here with the opportunity to learn first hand on seed starting, planting, transplanting, greenhouse management, agribusiness sales, and so much more!!
