We **just** got some very sad news (for us), from Grandpa Hall (David Hall Sr). This is our first house. David spent 18 hours a day, building this 5 bedroom 2 bathroom, 2,800 sq. ft. house, completely by himself in 6 months. Here's a copy and paste of the email we just got from David Sr: "A freind of mine travels over through Blackwell with another friend, once or twice a month. They always go by the house you built on the river as this friend likes to see it. He likes that round part you put on the front. I am trying to ease into the bad news. They went by Tuesday and your old house had burned down. We have had a cold spell the last few days. My guess is, they started their heat and something went wrong. I do not have any other details. Your mother and I hated to hear that happened. I am sure you both will. If I hear any more I will let you know."
We brought Zachry and Annie home to this house. It's the house where Zachry went missing on the riverbank because he learned to open the screen door at 18 months and I didn't know that. It's the first house that love built for me. This is the house where we had all the memories of hulligans and David chasing them off.

Service update for David's sister, Kristi. Many of you will remember her from the days of our family's live local news aired on TV here in Kay County. Our hearts are heavy for another Hall gone too young.

Viewing today until 8 pm, on Grand in Ponca City.

Service is in Trout's Ponca Chapel on Grand, tomorrow, Friday, September 23rd at 2:00 pm
