The first thing your guests will touch is paper.
Not the flowers, not the linens, not the cake. Paper. And if we have done our work well, they will feel the deckled edge before they read a single word, and they will already know something true about the two of you.
This suite was made for Styled Shoots Across America at Danclay Farms in Florence, Alabama. Handmade cotton paper pressed in the softest sage, a cornflower oval for the finer details, and a watercolor in bloom tucked inside the envelope so the celebration begins the moment the flap lifts.
Here is what I would tell you if you were sitting across from me in the studio. Handmade paper wants a quiet design. The softer the sheet, the deeper the impression, and one considered crest with room to breathe will always feel more like an heirloom than a page trying to say everything at once. I would tell you not to overlook the shape of a card, since an oval takes no more paper than a rectangle and it is the piece your guests will turn over twice.
That is how a suite stops being just pretty paper and becomes the first reveal of your wedding day.
