Well… I debated waiting a little longer to make the call, but between the wind gusts forecasted for tomorrow and the moderate flooding still expected in our area, it is what it is. 😔

Unfortunately, tomorrow’s Poquoson pop-up is canceled, which means our last scheduled stop in Poquoson for 2026 ended a little earlier than we hoped.

At this time, we are still planning to bring The Title Wave to Oozlefinch on Sunday! 🍻📚
Should that change, we’ll make a post and keep everyone updated. Book Club is still ON at 4 PM in the barrel room, regardless!

If you’re in our neck of the woods, we hope you’re staying safe and dry. And Poquoson… thank you. Truly.
The support you’ve shown us over these last six months has absolutely blown us away. Every person who stepped inside to shop, stopped just to say hi, or walked in and said, “This is so cool!” made these pop-ups something we looked forward to every month.

The fact that we only had to cancel ONE pop-up all season feels pretty lucky, too. We knew once fall rolled around, Mother Nature might have other plans.

We’re hoping to bring The Title Wave back to Poquoson in 2027, and we hope to have an update on that soon. 🌊📚

I don’t care if it’s cringy. I don’t care if the CGI baby is terrifying. And I definitely don’t care how many years have passed… there’s just something about Twilight that I will always love. 🩵🌲✨🐺

Oh, Poquoson. We love living here, but when stormy weather and high tide team up, getting in and out can get a little… complicated. 😅

With the weather and moderate tidal flooding expected over the next few days, please keep in mind that there may be delays in both receiving and shipping packages.

And y’all absolutely BLEW ME AWAY .. we have over 50 preorders to pack and ship! 📚

I’m incredibly grateful for every single order and will be working through them as quickly as possible.

A little reminder that Tide Turners is a very small family-run business. We both work full-time jobs on opposite shifts, have a family, and squeeze bookstore life into all the spaces in between. Add a little Poquoson flooding to the mix, and things may take an extra beat. 🌊📦

Your books ARE coming, and we’ll get them out as soon as safely possible. We just ask for a little patience and grace while we ride out the weather and work through this incredible stack of orders.

Shouting HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the man who once said, “I’ll help you set up, and then I’m leaving.”

Fast forward to now and he’s the star bag boy, resident Romantasy recruiter for the men, and the guy convincing basically everyone to read Dungeon Crawler Carl. 📚

Thank you for being the backbone of this little dream, for hauling books, setting up, tearing down, packing bags, talking books with customers, and somehow getting roped into way more than you ever signed up for.

More importantly, thank you for being the absolute best husband and father. None of this would be possible without you, and I’m thankful for you every single day. 🥹

A few fun facts about Mr. Tide:
He’s read the Harry Potter series more than once.
His favorite cake is cheesecake.
He’s a basic B and loves Pumpkin Spice.

Shadows may wander, and strange things occur.
