Diverse bike kayak and climb outdoor retailer. We tune skis, mount bindings and cut skins in our Ski Shop. We specialize in sea touring, lake, surfski and fishing kayaks; mountain, road, hybrid touring and children's bicycles; sport, traditional and alpine climbing gear & expertise. Free 2 hour parking available along street in front of shop, and free 3 hour parking is available in the lot across the street from shop.

The “do-it-all” bike doesn’t exist...or does it? 🤔

The Specialized Stumpjumper 14 has officially earned its spot as a shop favorite here at Sound Bikes & Kayaks, and for good reason. It hits that sweet spot ratio between uphill efficiency and downhill confidence that is honestly hard to beat.

With 140mm of travel up front and 130mm in the rear, paired with dialed-in geometry and linkage, this thing is an absolute rocket on the climbs. But don’t let that climbing prowess fool you. It handles technical descending incredibly well.

In the first image, you’ll see Troy’s rig perched on Vulture Ridge. If you know our local trails, you know Vulture Ridge is no joke. It’s one of the most technical descents in the area, and the climb to get there is nearly as physically demanding. If it can handle Vulture, it can handle just about anything you throw at it. 🤘
