This week’s blog is very close to my heart. ❤️
Today, as I walk through one of the most difficult seasons of my own life, I find myself looking at my mom’s story differently. Her strength, courage, resilience, and faith have become an example for me in ways I never could have imagined.
Maybe some of the greatest gifts our parents leave us aren't things at all. Sometimes, it's the example they set long before we realize we're going to need it.
I hope you'll take a few minutes to read this part of her story. ❤️

I did not get to spend much time in Okinawa. In June 1968, we moved to Stratford, Connecticut. My mom, brother, and I lived with my dad’s parents while my dad was in Maryland attending Army Intelligence School.
