The Port Clinton Peanut Shop got the “Idaho Spud Bar” a wonderful combination of a light cocoa flavored, soft marshmallow center drenched with a dark chocolate coating and then sprinkled with coconut. It was originally marketed as a healthy candy bar since it is made with agar agar (a plant-based gelling & thickening agent derived from red algae) instead of gelatin.
The potato shaped "Idaho Spud" has been a favorite since it was first made in 1918.
