ARE THESE YOUR KIDS??

Wes and I were just outside taking one of our cats for his morning walk in our yard (he barks at the door every morning)! Wes wandered across the street to pet one of our new customers at Wes' Come and Stray Awhile Catfé, who was on her way to us.
A couple of teens were riding their bikes on the road. One continued towards Wes and the other stopped and started yelling, in a creepy voice "Hey Kid.... Do you want some candy....", directly at Wes (they were about a block apart.. it was the kid with blue pants and the tricycle). He said it again, and I peaked out from between my house and bushes, where I could see them, but they obviously didn't see me, and said "Hey Kid... Don't be a jerk" The other kid joined his friend and stayed there, staring at me. So I said, "Hey Kids, do you want to come ask ME that?" Then I went inside to get my phone, then they sped off.
Yeah, no harm done... But words are still words. I don't know what their intentions were though. It looked like one was going Wes' way, and the other was taunting him from a different direction, as to surround him.
Kids, Please don't bully or intimidate my kid or others. Parents, keep an eye on your kids and teach them to respect those they meet when not under your supervision. Especially neighbors and children.
I'm glad I was there today and witnessed it. Usually Wes takes the cat (Bear CatDog) outside first, then I take the second shift and the temper tantrum that he throws when he has to come in.
Please, keep an eye on your kids. Teach respect. Be kind. To everyone. And everything.
