We are so proud to celebrate Stassi Hill from Cypress Creek Elementary, who was recognized at the Florida PTA State Reflections Awards Ceremony with an Award of Excellence in Photography! 🌟

This incredible achievement reflects Stassi’s creativity, talent, and hard work. An Award of Excellence is the highest level of recognition at the Florida PTA state competition and advances the artwork to the National PTA Reflections competition. (Florida PTA⁠)

We are looking forward to another season of Girls on the Run! Registration opens on August 17th and the season starts September 15th. Our Club will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30-3:45 and the season will end with a 5K on November 21st (tentatively).
GOTR is more than running! We start with a lesson on healthy living both mentally and physically. We set running goals each week and enjoy friendships. We look forward to seeing you soon! More information will be available at Meet the Teacher and will be sent home with classroom teachers. You may contact Ms. Avant at [email protected] with any questions.

🧹✨ Behind the scenes, your PTA has been hard at work!

We tackled a big project—organizing and cleaning out the PTA closet! 📦 From sorting supplies to creating a more organized space, we’re getting everything ready for another amazing school year.

It may not be the most glamorous job, but having an organized space helps us find what we need faster, save money by knowing what we already have, and be better prepared for all the fun events and programs we have planned for our Otters this year!

A huge thank you to everyone who pitched in and helped make it happen. We can’t wait to put all these supplies to good use supporting our students, staff, and school community! 💙🦦

Did you know the CCE PTA helps provide a special book for every kindergartener who reaches the exciting milestone of learning to read?

Each student receives their very own book from our principal to celebrate their hard work and accomplishment. It’s a meaningful tradition that encourages a lifelong love of reading and gives every new reader a book to call their own.

The Cypress Creek Elementary PTA is proud to announce that we received three statewide awards from the Florida PTA at this year’s Leadership Convention!

✨ President’s Program Award – Recognizing outstanding achievement in meeting and exceeding the standards of a strong, effective PTA.

✨ Trailblazer Award – Celebrating innovation, growth, and a commitment to making a lasting impact for our school community.

✨ Literacy Award – Honoring our dedication to promoting literacy and fostering a love of reading through programs like our Literacy Night and other reading initiatives.

These awards are a reflection of what can happen when parents, teachers, staff, administrators, students, volunteers, and our community come together with one goal: supporting our children.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, attended events, became PTA members, sponsored programs, and cheered us on throughout the year. These honors belong to our entire Cypress Creek family! 💙🦦

Did you know the CCE PTA has helped purchase new whiteboards for 10–15 classrooms throughout our school?

These whiteboards are used every day for lessons, student participation, small-group instruction, and classroom activities. They’re one of those behind-the-scenes improvements that make a big impact on teaching and learning.

Thank you to our amazing families, members, volunteers, and supporters! Every membership, fundraiser, and volunteer hour helps provide resources like these for our students and teachers. 💙🦦

🎉 Our CCE PTA had an incredible time at the Florida PTA Leadership Convention! 🎉

Over the past few days, our board had the opportunity to learn from inspiring speakers, attend engaging workshops, and connect with PTA leaders from across Florida. We came home with fresh ideas, new resources, and even more excitement for the upcoming school year!

This year, our PTA earned two of Florida PTA’s highest honors—the President’s Program Award and the Trailblazer Award—which are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our amazing board, volunteers, families, and school staff.

I’m also especially excited that our Literacy Night was recognized with the Literacy Award! Seeing one of our favorite events honored makes all the planning and teamwork so worthwhile.

We also enjoyed spending time with fellow PTA volunteers, building friendships, sharing ideas, and making memories along the way. 💙

A huge thank you to Florida PTA and the Volusia County Council PTA for hosting such an inspiring event. We are feeling energized and ready to put what we’ve learned into action as we continue supporting our students, teachers, and families at Cypress Creek Elementary.

We can’t wait to make this our best year yet! 🦦💙
