VETERINARY SERVICES | Service members may need an off-base veterinarian to obtain medications for their pets and to get rabies testing completed for international moves, following a freeze on federal government purchase cards that is affecting military veterinary clinics.

Civilians at the clinics also are unable to use the credit cards to purchase medications for military working dogs under the Pentagon order, which was issued in March to comply with an executive order aimed at federal cost efficiency.

Loki lost his owner unexpectedly and tragically and is in desperate need of a foster or new home. He is a five year old purebred German Shepherd. he’s a big boy weighing in at 85 pounds. He does extremely well with cats and older people is good with dogs and is not fond of kids so kids are not a good idea around this dog. Once we have a place for him to go we will make arrangements to have him neutered, but he is up-to-date on his vaccines. He is healthy and has no issues. He’s housebroken. He is not crate trained. He’s a good dog who loves to chase a ball and play and have fun.

Anyone willing to help by fostering this dog please let us know by private messaging and anybody who might be interested in adopting this dog please send an application . This is a time sensitive situation so we’re looking to wrap this up quickly.
