​Saturn at Opposition (Oct 4): The ringed jewel of the solar system will be at its closest and brightest for the year tomorrow night.
​Draconid & Orionid Meteor Showers: The Draconids peak around October 8–9, followed by the Orionids lighting up the pre-dawn hours October 21–22.
​The Full Hunter’s Moon (Oct 26): Rising bright and full later this month to illuminate the autumn woods.

We are stepping into the heart of autumn and journeying toward Samhain on October 31st. As the final harvest festival and the Celtic New Year, it marks the time when the veil between realms grows thin—a season for ancestor work, honoring transitions, and embracing quiet reflection.

​Welcome to October! We are open until 6:00 p.m. today at Conifer and Crow, so come wander in, warm up, and explore what’s fresh on our shelves.
​Looking up tonight, our celestial skies are especially active as the Waning Gibbous moon reaches perigee—making its closest approach to Earth for the month. It’s an incredible evening for binocular stargazing, especially to catch the brilliant rays radiating out from the lunar crater Tycho.
​As the calendar turns to October, the veil is gently beginning to thin as we enter the season leading up to Samhain at month’s end. It’s a powerful time for shadow work, reflection, grounding your energy, and honoring the transitions of the season.
​Whether you’re looking to ground yourself under tonight’s perigee moon or gather your altar pieces for the spooky season ahead, stop by and say hello before 6:00 p.m.!
