Good morning!
First, please keep everyone affected by yesterday’s storms and tornadoes in your thoughts and prayers.
On behalf of the Parker family, we want to express our deepest gratitude to our community, family, and friends for the incredible love and support you have shown us over the past two weeks. We are truly humbled by the generosity of Henry County and the surrounding communities that have rallied around Parker Farm Supply. We could have never imagined such an overwhelming outpouring of kindness, encouragement, and generosity.
We are forever grateful to everyone who has organized benefits and fundraisers on our behalf. A heartfelt thank you to Elizabeth Adler, Manuel and Becky Adler, Carissa Boice, and Glenn Chevrolet for partnering together to host the Benefit Barrel Race; Port Royal Methodist Church for including us in their church fundraiser; Henry County Economic Development Board Donation Account; All Porked Out Barbecue for donating proceeds from their sales; Kim Dawson for organizing the Cake and Pie Auction; Jones Brothers Farms for the Tomato Proceeds Sales; Dallasburg Baptist Church for the love offering; and the Henry County Cattlemen for organizing an upcoming community cookout.
Thank you to Joe Durbin and the Henry County Local for helping share our story and covering the many fundraising efforts. We are also incredibly thankful to the Berry Center for allowing us to use their building as our temporary office while we rebuild.
To every business and individual who sponsored the barrel race, cooked meals, parked cars, sold T-shirts, donated raffle baskets, volunteered at the horse show, or gave their time in any way—thank you. We also want to thank the members of Port Royal Methodist Church and the entire community who donated raffle baskets, helped set up the church, and sold over 500 Chick-fil-A sandwiches. Your generosity has been overwhelming.
We are also grateful to Port Royal Baptist Church, the Dunaway family, The Farmstead Market, Wesley Beverly, and Don Adams for providing meals during this difficult time.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has personally given us monetary donations and gifts. Your generosity and compassion during this difficult time have been incredibly humbling. Witnessing such kindness in the midst of this tragedy has been a true blessing, and we are deeply grateful for your love and support.
Over the past two weeks, we have truly felt the love, support, and prayers of so many people. We have done our best to keep track of everyone who has donated financially, brought food, or given gift cards, but we know there are many who have chosen to give anonymously. To each of you, please accept our sincere gratitude. Every act of kindness, no matter how big or small, has meant more than words can express.
Yesterday marked two weeks since the fire. We received clearance from both the insurance company and the fire inspector to begin cleanup. As we sifted through the rubble, we realized there was nothing left to save. Cleanup begins today, and with it, the rebuilding process will slowly begin. We know this journey will take time, but we are hopeful and look forward to serving this community again.
We are open for business! We are currently operating out of the Berry Center building across the road from our store. We have feed, mineral, bagged fertilizer, bulk fertilizer, chemicals, shavings, dog and cat food, salt, tubs, and animal health products on order. Please bear with us as we continue restocking inventory. Our selection is limited for now, but we are working every day to better serve our customers.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing beside our family and Parker Farm Supply during one of the most difficult times in our lives. We are blessed beyond measure to be part of such an amazing community, and we will never forget the kindness you have shown us. We look forward to the day we can welcome you back into a rebuilt Parker Farm Supply.
Thank you❤️
