This week at Summer Craft Camp for Grown-Ups, we're learning the magic of wet felting by wrapping colorful wool around a bar of soap to create your very own felted soap. It's relaxing, a little bit messy, and surprisingly addictive.

We'll also make a set of handmade bookmarks—perfect for your current read or to tuck into a favorite gift.

No experience needed, just come ready to create, laugh, and embrace your inner camp kid.

✨ A creative week at The Purple Turtle...

This week was filled with color, creativity, and a little bit of magic.

We ended with an amazing Alcohol Ink Workshop, where everyone explored vibrant inks, experimented with new techniques, and discovered that there's no "right" way to create—just room to play.

Our Summer Craft Camp transformed into a Shrinky D**k Lab to kick things off! Campers designed their own artwork, watched it magically shrink in the oven, turned their creations into keychains and charms, and earned a few well-deserved merit badges along the way.

These are the moments I love most—people trying something new, laughing together, encouraging each other, and leaving with handmade pieces they're excited to take home.

Thanks to everyone who spent part of their week creating with us. We can't wait to see you at the next workshop! 💜

✨ Remember Shrinky D**ks? They're back...and somehow even more fun as an adult.

Join us for Week 2 of Summer Craft Camp for Grown-Ups as we fill the tables with colorful designs, watch them magically shrink in the oven, and turn them into charms, magnets, keychains, earrings, and more.

We'll also have our Camp Mail Station set up, where you can write a postcard or tiny note to someone who could use a little happy mail. 💜

From Shrinky D**ks to Watercolor Batik, July is Full of Creative Possibilities

One week we're shrinking tiny pieces of art in the oven. The next we're sculpting clay, painting with alcohol inks, or gathering around the table with sketchbooks in hand.

That's one of my favorite things about The Purple Turtle—there's always something new to create.

Whether you're looking for a creative night out, a new skill to learn, or a chance to unplug for a couple of hours, we'd love to create with you.

Community Creative Nights (Free + Drop-In)

Need a little creative accountability? Join us for our free monthly Sketch Club! Bring your favorite sketchbook and whatever drawing supplies you enjoy. No instruction, no pressure—just a welcoming group of people making art together.

As always:
• Workshops are intentionally small
• All materials are included unless noted
• Participants receive 10% off in-store purchases the day of class
