Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families affected by the tragedies that happened twenty-five (25) years ago on September 11th, 2001. We will never forget their sacrifices. We would also like to thank the First Responders, Doctors, Nurses, and everyone else involved that helped the people that day and the many days afterwards.

Hello, everybody. Starting on Tuesday, September 8th, the Tuesday right after Labor Day, our hours will be making a significant change. Instead of being open from nine to nine Chicago time, we will be open from nine to six Chicago time. But, don’t forget, we’re still willing to help you choose the best fireworks for your show! 🙂

Hello, everybody. Yes, we are still open after the Fourth of July. We are open every day except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We are currently open from nine to nine Chicago time. However, that will change sometime around Labor Day weekend.

Hi, everybody. I would like to answer one of our most popular FAQ’s. Yes, we do have fuse available for purchase. However, it’s not pre-cut. It’s on a giant roll.

It’s fifty-nine (59) cents per foot. It’s considered to be a “slow-burning” fuse. It burns at a rate of thirty (30) seconds per foot. You can get whatever amount you want. Please feel free to ask anyone for help. If someone doesn’t know how to properly cut the fuse, we can find someone who does know. You can ask for it at any time during your visit.

Hi, everybody. We have expanded our hours again for your shopping convenience. From now until the end of the day on July 3rd, we will be open from seven o’clock in the morning until midnight and possibly later on the weekends only. We are on the same time as Chicago.

On July 4th, we will be open from seven o’clock in the morning until eleven o’clock in the evening Chicago time.

On July 5th, we will revert back to our regular summer hours of nine o’clock in the morning to nine o’clock in the evening Chicago time.

We are currently hiring for various seasonal positions here at Shelton Fireworks. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time employees. We are hiring for cashiers, stockers, and salespeople. Please stop by the store to fill out an application and to have an on-the-spot interview with Mr. Shelton. Applications *can’t* be filled out online. We are willing to take applicants under eighteen (18) years of age, but the applicant must be at least fourteen (14). Please feel free to stop by at any time that we are open.
