This M-45 is about to head to New York, NY!

The wonderful Adam Kiesling just posted some videos of him playing the Miller Roy Smeck Dreadnought. The guitar is constructed of Adirondack Spruce and Big Leaf Maple with a 1934 sunburst and unusual blonde back and sides. This is a 24.75" scale, 12 frets-to-body dreadnought with extra depth. Enjoy!

Getting the hemlock and walnut M-45 strung up and polished out, what a looker!

Isaiah's family mid-60's Gibson LG-O was in need of restoration. I'll get it in top playing condition by patching the holes and flattening the top, making a new rosewood bridge, resetting the neck, planing the fingerboard amd installing new Evo frets, making a new bone nut & saddle, and finally, get the setup just perfect. Fun!

Recent builds:

A wonderful little 14-fret Late '30s Martin of Sitka and reclaimed mahogany, and a '34 Roy Smeck of adirondack and big leaf maple. I call them the Ranch Hand and Roy, respectively. Both are headed off to their happy owners!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:

if your wonderful instrument hurts your hands because of the shape of the neck, it may be possible to adjust the neck carve and save yourself a bit of grief! The owner of this 2003 Collings MT2 mandolin has struggled with its sharp v-shaped neck for the 13 years he has owned it (!). After discussing the possibilities and contacting Collings, we were able to remove 1/16" from the back of the neck, and it seems to have been a game-changer!
