We stopped by ✧Piercing✧Tattoo✧BVLA this morning to check out their Hawthorne location. ✨

Here’s what we learned: this is not your average tattoo and piercing studio. Woman-founded and growth-oriented, Adorn has three studios total — SE Portland, Beaverton, and Uptown Vancouver. And they’re known for a few very good reasons.

Experienced tattoo artists specializing in custom design. Professional piercers committed to excellence. And officially, the largest selection of the highest quality jewelry in the Pacific Northwest!!!

But what really stood out to us was the atmosphere. Safe. Respectful. Extremely welcoming. A space where anyone can explore their unique identity with confidence. The staff are passionate advocates for body autonomy and personal expression, honoring the rich history of body modification as a practice of self-discovery and cultural connection.

We’re already thinking about our next appointment!

Brand new route alert! Join Portland Sunday Parkways , presented by Kaiser Permanente, in North Portland on August 2 from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. for a day of walking, biking, rolling, and community connection on car-free streets. The brand-new 6.7-mile event route will feature Downtown St. Johns, McCoy Park, Columbia Park and Annex, and McKenna Park.

Visit the vendor marketplaces to enjoy local food and drinks, shopping, and community organizations from across Portland. Don’t miss the Downtown St. Johns marketplace, where neighborhood businesses are joining the celebration with booths, activities, and special offerings that invite you to shop, dine, and explore.

And if you’re lucky, you might get to meet Biggie Smalls, the shop dog! He has tiny sweaters and a huge personality!
