The Pine Crest Fabrics team had a wonderful time at the recent Lumin Essence Gala, a special fundraising event hosted by the Portland Fashion Institute Sewing & Fashion Classes

The evening featured a fashion show with collections from key sponsors — including Adidas and Pendleton — alongside creations by PFI’s graduating students. The show celebrated modern fashion, gave students a platform to showcase their designs, and raised funds for scholarships through a live auction.

Pine Crest Fabrics was proud to be among the event’s sponsors, supporting the next generation of fashion talent.

What makes Nylon 6.6 different from regular nylon?

It has a tighter molecular structure and a softer, more refined hand. That means it’s stronger, more durable, holds its shape longer, dries faster, and resists abrasion better than standard Nylon 6, while staying comfortable to wear.
