I love the assembly line feeling of customizing and putting together our eco-friendly packaging! In the last year, we have switched to 100% recycled paper shipping/ packaging/merchandising materials, as well as unbleached, fair trade cotton jewelry bags. And since we work with sustainable and mostly recycled/recyclable metals in our jewelry, we think the aesthetic fits pretty well too. 😜 🌍 🌱 💍 🎁 As we lead up to Earth Day (and shouldn’t every day be earth day?) we are trying to do our part as a small business who primarily sells our products through shipping to minimize our environmental footprint. Through the generosity of Etsy, every package we ship is also 100% carbon offset. We feel better doing what we can to minimize our impact on the environment as we continue to grow, and we hope our customers will appreciate it too.

Having cute, handmade packaging and marketing materials makes packing up twenty orders a lot more enjoyable! All of our graphic design is done from scratch by my husband and I, and when it ends up on physical products it is done using recycled/recyclable materials so nothing we send out needs to be trashed by our customers. It’s a teeny way we try to keep our impact down as e-commerce sellers!

Today we debuted a new earring collection at an event with . It was so much fun, and we ended up completely selling out of our new pieces. They weren’t bought as gifts, either, despite the time of year! It’s a HUGE compliment to have wonderful, beautiful, and stylish women choose to treat themselves with something you made with love. It’s also the biggest compliment to be promoted and supported by a brand you truly love and admire- and more importantly by the boss ladies of Athleta that Quinn and I love and admire 1000x more. Thanks, and -you are the bees knees.

Slowly but surely making my way towards launching our standalone online store/website. We love Etsy and will continue to sell there, but are hoping to expand our visibility on google by having a standalone site, too. Our business grew 500% last year, is already up 300% percent from that this year, and we’ve got a possible collaboration with a new clothing line in the works. It feels like we’ve grown into a more grown-up website, even if I never feel like much of a grown up at all. Stay tuned for the launch of ironandtwinedesign.com!

We hand-forge dainty rotating polygons from pure raw brass wire, and attach them to 14K gold earring hooks.
