🍓🔍 Little Forager May & June: Thimbleberry by local cartoonist Rachel Lee Thai Nyeholt is a pocket-sized nonfiction guide to foraging fruit. Stop by the shop and scrounge up a copy for yourself.

🏔️🍽️ Here's a sample (no spoilers, I promise): Introducing: Little Forager! A mini zine featuring the Thimbleberry - a fun little handmade mini zine series about native plants that you can find and forage in the PNW.

💚 Nyeholt’s compact zine is the perfect companion on snacky walks around the city. Each botanical illustration is beautiful and instructive. I’m ready to forage!

🪽🪴 The Manifestation of the Man Called Kevin Part 1 Chapter 1 by local cartoonist Nick Orr is a speculative fiction comic about feeling desperately alone in the universe. And unfortunately, being correct. Can't get out the door? It's all good, we can ship this zine right to you, and we'll put a cute doodle on the package to help you feel a little better.

🎉🪫 Here's a sample (no spoilers, I promise): The world has changed beyond recognition, but Kevin still has to face the hell that is making it out the front door. How much longer can he try to fit into the new normal when he’s going it blind?

🩵 Orr’s near-liquid line-work brings the characters’ inner turmoil into the glaring light of day. This zine makes my heart ache. I need part 2!!

Calling all tree-huggers, it's Friday Zine and Indie Pub Spotlight!

🏔️🌺 Seeing & Not Seeing by local cartoonist Schuyler Smith is a risograph-printed fantasy comic about a naive guard and his charge: a mysterious woman who will see justice done at any cost. But she could use a little help with her plan. Come on by the shop and bring your walking shoes for this one, folks!

🌳🏰 Here's a sample (no spoilers, I promise): First there was a tree surrounded by a citadel. Eons or a day later, a citadel guard follows a forest-dweller deep into the wild woods and learns that nothing is what it seems. Will revenge or passivity prevail?

💜 Smith’s gorgeously detailed foliage and creative paneling transports the reader into a world of -beings with natures both marvelous and kinda goofy!

Hey comics critters, it's Friday Zine and Indie Pub Spotlight day!

🦡💅 Passenger by local cartoonist Jam Dyer is a realistic fiction comic about q***r yearning and the benefits (and social anxieties) of taking a chance on somebody! Stop by the store and melt into this mesmerizing zine.

🎨🪩 Here's a sample (no spoilers, I promise): Three people reach for connection in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic: a mermaid, a muse, and a pair of eyes behind binoculars. Who are they to each other? Maybe the night sky will have answers.

🩵 Dyer’s dreamy watercolors illuminate the safe place within a nightmare. Soft, urgent, and hopeful. I wish I could stay with these characters longer!

There is some nasty contract business going on at Dark Horse around Senior Editors: the company is claiming that Senior Editors have always had management responsibility and therefore were never eligible for the union; Senior Editors disagree, and they have receipts. There is a rally and costume party THIS AFTERNOON from 5-6 in Milwaukie Bay Park to support them, I hope you will turn out!

Love is in the air, it must be Friday Zine and Indie Pub Spotlight day!

💕🌈 Oona and Marta Go Shopping by Joshua Sloan, Rachel Cherry, and Dulceskull is part of a series of standalone vignettes about the first year of Oona and Marta's relationship. As romance blossoms for the two women they learn more about each other and the fantastical world they live in. Stop by the shop to join their adventures!

💐☕️ Here’s a sample (no spoilers, I promise): Oona has dedicated her whole life to her community, cultivating an idyllic hometown that she has never left. Marta, having never lived in the same town for more than a few months, has a lifetime of memories but no place to call home. When Marta comes to Oona’s town for the winter festival, it’s love at first sight. Let’s follow them on one of their dates to the local night market, where surely nothing could go wrong!

🩷 Sloan and Cherry’s charming comic brings real new relationship anxieties and heart flutters to a vibrant fantasy world. IT’S SO CUTE! I MUST READ MORE!
