Portland's Jewish summer festival (hosted by Jewish Federation of Greater Portland) had some amazing energy!

We celebrated together, with Nissim Black and Rami Even-Esh (looks great in teffilin - did you see him with his PDX kippah?), did mitzvahs and much more!

Last Wednesday's Tefillin, Lox & Bagels was a beautiful morning of connection, learning, and community. Led by Rabbi Motti, this weekly gathering is usually held at Chabad SW, but this time we had the privilege of hosting it at the Jewish Oasis.

BOUND was more than an event-it was a morning of connection, reflection, and celebration as we came together to commemorate the Rebbe's yartzeit and celebrate Shua Mishulovin becoming a Bar Mitzvah.

The morning began with a meditative prayer led by Rabbi Motti, setting the tone for a meaningful experience. From there, Rabbi Citron of the Manhattan Carlbach Shul guided us through a powerful tefillin meditation, inviting everyone to slow down and connect more deeply.

The experience continued with a beautiful artisan breakfast, breathtaking views overlooking Portland, and spirited dancing shared among friends and community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make BOUND such a memorable morning.

In honor of the Rebbe's Yartzeit and Shua's Bar Mitzvah, we traveled to NYC with Brian and Daniel, we spent time at the Rebbe's resting place, 770 Headquarters, celebrated Shua's Bar Mitzvah and much more!

We would love for you to join us on our next trip! (Next trip is TBD when)

This Sunday we’re coming together for BOUND - a powerful morning of tefillin, meaning, and community, marking Shua’s Bar Mitzvah and the Rebbe’s Yahrzeit.

A morning of tefillin, connection, and celebration.

As our son Shua prepares to become a Bar Mitzvah, he wanted to mark this milestone by creating a meaningful moment of Jewish connection and unity.

His goal is to bring together at least 54 men and boys-representing "Chai," life-to put on tefillin, pray, and celebrate together.

Teffilin will be provided, if needed.

Set in a beautiful open space overlooking Portland and accompanied by an artisan breakfast, the morning will be an opportunity to connect, reflect, and share in a unique mitzvah experience.

The gathering will also commemorate the Rebbe's yartzeit, whose vision brought our family to Portland and continues to inspire acts of connection, community, and mitzvahs.
