the hands behind mistri by rêve

we've been wanting to share this one for a while. mistri by rêve is a canadian company built around craftsmanship in the truest sense. in hindi, mistri means master craftsman.

since 2013 they've worked with artisan workshops across india. silk pillows from assam, woven textiles from rajasthan, hand embroidery from mumbai, hand spun linen from panipat. small groups of makers, each one practicing a single skill for years. natural materials, quiet earthy palettes, fair partnerships that especially support women artisans.

it's the same thing we look for in everything we bring into the shop. objects with a real hand in them, made by people who care about the making.
