A BIG WIN for Texas H**p has come down today. A signature from President Trump will extend the deadline to December 11th. The work is far from over!

“The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a bill that contains provisions to delay the federal recriminalization of h**p THC products that is currently scheduled to take effect in November. The legislation, which has already been approved by the Senate, is intended to give lawmakers more time to craft regulations as an alternative to prohibition.

It now heads to President Donald Trump’s desk.“

Just a little friendly reminder.
We’ve had a few incidents happen over the last few weeks, so I just wanted to get on here and take a minute to clear up some things about our ID policy.

We’ve had a few customers recently get upset with the team because they were asked for an ID, and unfortunately, a couple of those situations have gone way beyond someone just being frustrated.

We have always been 21+, and we’re required to check everyone’s ID. It’s not just store policy, it’s Texas law. It doesn’t matter if you’re 21, 45, or 85, it doesn’t matter if we know you personally, and it doesn’t matter if we watched you be birthed with our own eyes. 😳 If my team asks for your ID, I promise they aren’t trying to inconvenience you or give you a hard time. They are doing their jobs, following state law, protecting themselves and protecting this business.

I completely understand that forgetting your ID can be incredibly frustrating. I forget things constantly and sometimes I have bad days too. We’re all human.

What I will not understand, and what I have absolutely zero tolerance for is yelling at my team, calling them names, cussing them out, or making them feel unsafe because they followed a law they are REQUIRED to follow. To be as transparent as possible here, you will not be welcome back into our store.

My team is my entire world. They are the backbone that holds this place together, and are the very people who have held my head above water every time I felt like I was drowning. And as much as I talk about how Coastal Buds would not be where we are today without our incredible community, the same is absolutely true of my team. Who we are today and what we’ve built would have never been possible without them.

And honestly, I think whether you’re allowed back should ultimately be up to the team member you chose to disrespect. My team has just as much of a voice in this place as I do, and I will always stand behind them and their decisions.

So make sure you come prepared with some good snacks and a good apology. KIDDING… kind of😅😌

We are the generation to end a century of cannabis prohibition in Texas!

There couldn’t be a bigger rift between these two candidates when it comes to cannabis. One has continuously authored legislation to decriminalize ma*****na and spoke out and voted against SB3 h**p ban. The other sued Texas cities that overwhelmingly voted to decriminalize ma*****na calling them “pro crime extremists” and has consistently litigated every effort to wipe out the h**p industry (currently ongoing). Don’t forget about pro legalization Libertarian candidate Ted Brown too!

Texas Democratic U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico is suggesting that his Republican opponent for the seat supports banning cannabis in order to aid his political donors in the alcohol and to***co industries.

“People are outraged across the state, and it’s not any one political party,” Talarico said of recently enacted state restrictions on h**p products in an interview with KTSM-TV. “It’s people across the spectrum.”

The comments come as Texas regulators are moving to ban certain h**p-derived THC cannabis products, including those containing delta-8 and delta-10 THC. Now classified as Schedule I drugs under state law, possession is treated as a felony, carrying a punishment of 180 days to two years in prison and fines of up to $10,000.

“Instead of getting it now from a local small business, Texans are now going to get it off the black market,” the Democrat, who currently serves as a state representative, said. “So this ban is a gift to the drug cartels.”

It doesn’t make any sense until you follow the money and realize that it is big b**r and big to***co that are funding the politicians, like Ken Paxton, who turned around and banned these safe THC products in order to enrich the big b**r and a big to***co lobby.”
