Alternative9 is a creator-owned independent comic book group currently working on the self-titled – Alternative9 – featuring ‘the UnReal QUiRK’ and other anthology style stories that take place within the Alternative9 Universe. Alternative9 features ‘the UnReal QUiRK‘ which follows the heroic adventures of a mysteriously gifted young ESPer under the care of the world’s most intelligent man, simply

known as, The Scientist. QUiRK’s life and world are changing due to the power struggles of the world’s esoteric elite as they discover the secrets to unlocking the essence of reality. The Alternative9 Universe is a complex interwoven web of characters and stories far to big to be contained solely within the pages of ‘the UnReal QUiRK‘. Alternative9 will also feature on-going anthology style stories that aim to introduce, explore, expand and tie together all of the vast and rich histories of the various characters, stories, and mythologies of the Alternative9 Universe. Stories within the Alternative9 Universe abound of created life finding its place in reality, super-science, robots, futuristic technology, god-like heroes, social experiments, aliens, conspiracy theories, secret societies, metaphysics, philosophy, and paranormal phenomenon.

In the mid 1980's corporations were grossly unchecked, and the McDowell Corporation launched an initiative called Heroes Incorporated, which was tactically led by MAJOR PATRIOT.

MAJOR PATRIOT was a skilled combatant and military strategist. In his prime he found no equal in hand-to-hand combat. He was also one of the first successfully engineered superhumans. Designed to incredibly withstand Howitzer cannons, to fly with the remarkable power, and to pound through structures with monstrous strength, he was a fearsome weapon to be reckoned.
