As some of you already know, two weeks ago I had to undergo an emergency surgery, then there were complications that required an additional surgical procedure.
That's the bad news...the good news is that I have recovered well enough to go back to work.
So we are back open today with our normal hours starting today.
My sincere apologies go out to anyone that came to pick up finished work or drop off work only to find a sign on the door.

As many of you already know, Mountain Shadow Arms is MOVING!!!

Due to passage of Washington House Bill 2118 (that has been dubbed the “FFL Killer”), which mandates additional costly requirements for licensed fi***rms dealers (FFLs) to continue to operate their businesses in the state of Washington after July 1st, 2025.

Therefore to continue to assist our customers that we have been serving for the past 20 years we are re-locating to the Stateline in Post Falls Idaho near Cabelas.

The new address is:
6009 W. Seltice Way, Suite F,
Post Falls, ID 83854

We are open in our new location April 21, 2025.

In this season of re-birth and renewal we reflect on all of the relationships we have built over the past 20 years serving customers all over the Pacific Northwest. We are sad that we are being forced to leave Spokane Washington, but we are excited to make new friends in Post Falls Idaho as we continue to serve our existing Washington customers.

Great example of the effects of proper bedding in the stock.

Every r***e is unique and the style of glass bedding needed to maximize it's performance is unique as well.

There is no "one size fits all" solution...the closest thing is what most r***e companies do and performance suffers for it.

This example went from a two MOA r***e to a sub-half MOA r***e and the only change was proper glass-bedding.

Watch for small cracks in the rear tang area of your r***e stock(photo at right)...this is an indicator that the recoil lug area of the stock is failing....ignoring it is a REALLY bad idea. Caught early it is easier and less expensive to correct.

Don't let this be your r***e your Gunsmith posts for the whole world to see...
This r***e came in for a trigger job...as you can see the metal is heavily rusted and the wood in the forend has started to rot.
Simple preventative maintenance will keep this from happening to you.
Also the r***e was barely being held in the stock as the retention screws were about to fall out.
We suggest bringing your fi***rms in for professional service about every three years with normal use in addition to your own maintenance, and more frequently if your fi***rm is exposed to inclement weather and/or dirty conditions.
This will head off any problems before they become serious and expensive.
